Design and implement cloud infrastructure across a complex hybrid multi-cloud environment (AWS, Azure, on-prem datacenters, edge infrastructure) with ~1000 accounts/subscriptions per cloud provider, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and cost-efficiency aligned with FinOps, Architecture, and Cybersecurity team guidelines.

• AWS Infrastructure & Hybrid Architecture: Architect and provision AWS infrastructure for greenfield and lift-and-shift projects across foundational services (EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, IAM, Route53, S3, Lambda, CloudFront, SNS, CloudWatch, EventBridge, Elastic Beanstalk) within a hub-and-spoke network model; design and implement infrastructure-as-code using custom Terraform modules ensuring compliance with company architecture and cybersecurity standards; manage Azure and on-prem infrastructure for industrial workloads while optimizing cross-cloud resource placement.
• Kubernetes Platform Engineering: Build, bootstrap, and manage multiple Kubernetes clusters across EC2, EKS, on-prem, and edge environments using kubeadm automation; implement GitOps practices with FluxCD and network segmentation with Cilium for application-level isolation; architect single-application cluster topology with plans to transition to team-based clustering for cost optimization.
• FinOps & Cost Optimization: Reduced cloud infrastructure costs by an average of 50% through a phased approach—initial quick wins (automated VM shutdown policies), resource right-sizing (compute and database instances), spot instance implementation, and ongoing application refactoring assessments for lift-and-shift workloads; identified and prioritized optimization opportunities across thousands of resources for continuous marginal gains.
• Cloud Infrastructure Security: Implement comprehensive security measures (IAM policies, encryption strategies, network segmentation, KMS key management, VPC security controls) aligned with organizational and industry best practices; adapt architectural designs to enforce security requirements while maintaining operational efficiency.
• Complex Migration & Platform Projects: Led infrastructure provisioning for IBM Maximo Application Suite 9 cloud migration, iteratively resolving infrastructure prerequisites and IAM permission requirements to enable Openshift deployment; collaborated with internal Openshift and external RedHat teams to debug and validate infrastructure against obscure system requirements.
• Infrastructure Automation: Develop and maintain Bash automation scripts to streamline cloud operations, reduce manual intervention, and enforce architectural compliance across hybrid infrastructure.

Develop, design and maintain cloud centered technologies for a leading international pharmaceutical company. Custom built solution for federated learning software implemented on Kubernetes in Azure and AWS using a GitOps approach (FluxCD, Kustomize, Helm, Crossplane...).

Build engineer in Fanatical support for AWS. Review high-level design from the Architect and produce the corresponding implementation document (low-level design). Discuss the technical options with the Client and deploy the infrastructure into AWS based on the implementation document using IaC (CloudFormation, Sceptre, Terraform). Create bash tooling to decrease build time by 50%. More than 40 production environments built, for more than 30 different Clients. Daily experience with most AWS services.

Migrate office services to the cloud (Jira, Confluence, internal landing page, web design static assets). Exposure to most AWS services, in particular EC2, EBS, RDS, S3, CloudFront, ELB, VPC, ECS/ECR, API Gateway, Lambda, CloudWatch. Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform, CloudFormation. Build a robust, tested and deployable backup structure for the live environment with onsite, offsite and offline backups of +20 Postgresql DB dumps using Bareos (Bacula fork) and a collection of bash scripts, representing +30TB of archive/week. Ansible deployment of new hosts (i.e. servers and disk or tape based storage ones). Sensu monitoring of all hosts. Automatic restore tests. Responsibilities as Focal Point of the Team: management of production/daily business, management of changes, quality issues follow-up, communication with IBM's project office (CTL, SDM, DPE) and the Customer, communication within the Team. Responsibilities as Admin (AIX, HP-UX): creations & implementations of new scripts (Korn Shell, Python), maintenance of applications & production environment, batch management (TWS), backup & recovery (TSM), monitoring (BlueCare, Nagios), implementation of changes (installation/patching of customer specific applications), complete support in French language & with respect to ITIL practices, customer support on a 2 shifts schedule.
